MSG and Instant Bloomberg are the primary means of communication for the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service.

The Bloomberg Message system enables users to communicate with other users on Bloomberg as well as internet addresses. Users are notified of incoming messages in real-time through a flashing indicator on their screen and can view whether users have read and replied to their messages in real-time from our MSG4 page.

Instant Bloomberg enables users to engage in instant communication with one or many users at once. Users can create persistent chat rooms with a group of users. These chats remain open at all times and users can view conversations they missed while not logged in easily through the chat window. Other key features include the ability to drag and drop Bloomberg charts and monitors into chat rooms, send attachments, and even confirm FX trades.
